Easy and fun to grow, these buffalo gourd plants flower in the same year as sown. They are vigorous climbers with fascinating ornamental fruits perfect for autumn decorations. Height: 180cm/72in. Plant Class: Half Hardy Perennial (HHP).

Sow outdoors in May-June, 1.5cm deep in well-drained soil, with 90cm spacing. Seedlings appear in 7-21 days. Thin to the stronger plant and water well. Alternatively, sow indoors in April-May in pots at 15-20°C. Harden off before planting out after frosts. Harvest in September-October; allow fruit to harden and dry for use.
